|Vice President for Dance Lindsey Grove
Lindsey Grove will be graduating in May 2014 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Dance Arts and a B.S.Ed in Middle Level Education with a concentration in Mathematics. She is a Provost Scholar and has received the 2013 Dean's Merit Scholarship for the College of Fine Arts. Lindsey was also awarded the Patricia Lommock Dance Scholarship, as well as the Shelly G. Portman Dance Scholarship. She was a dancing member of the IUP Dance Theater Company for three years, and this is her second year as the Rehearsal Director/Assistant to the Director. Lindsey's goal in education is to make dance a more accessible art form in the public schools. She also plans to incorporate movement into her general education classroom. Lindsey has presented her interdisciplinary instruction ideas at the 2012 PSAHPERD Convention, as well as the 2013 EDA Convention. She recently attended the Arts in Education symposium in Harrisburg, where she sat on a panel regarding the importance of a Dance Endorsement for the state of Pennsylvania.

Sarah Brown is the daughter of Matthew and Ann Klinger of Athens, Pennsylvania. Sarah attended and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Elmira, NY in 2007. Sarah also attended and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in December, 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology Education with minors in Anthropology and Dance. While attending IUP, she became a member of the IUP Dance Theatre Company and completed her 21st year of dancing upon graduation. She is also a member of many off campus organizations including Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA), Pennsylvania Science Teachers Association (PSTA), and National Association for Biology Teachers (NABT). Sarah is also a member is National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), where she presented 'Learning Gains in the Science Classroom' at a National Convention in Hershey, PA. Sarah is also a member of Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (PSAHPERD), where she is Vice-President Elect for Dance for the 2013 Convention. Preceding her is Vice-President Ashley Tait Weller and Vice-President Past, Joan E. Van Dyke for the 2013 Convention. In the future, Sarah hopes to continue her passion for dance, and combine movement and inquiry based lessons into her classrooms so that her students have a fun and hands-on way of learning science and science concepts.
